Dark Phoenix Promo Spots

A quick green screen promotional shot of Sophie Turner was arranged for her in both of her character costumes so she could performed actions related to the Dark Phoenix film. The material was shot on the Alexa Mini 4K at 62 f/s, giving me the material and flexibility to edit the sequences.Given the original poster as a starting point and reference, I then took the material and edited an eight second sequence involving a transition from Jean Grey into the iconic DARK PHOENIX. The camera track and environment was created in the Flame. With the help of VFX supervisor and good friend Phil Brennan, he was able do guide me to shots from the film to pull elements from. From Nuke scripts, I isolate what I needed from those shots and then integrated them in these sequences, keeping in mind the tonal and colour pallet of the film.Beauty work, eye enhancement, hair augmentation, (Sophie was blond for the shoot), pinch, tuck, costume fix, lighting, colour correction was used to create these spots.
